The nurse comes in and they begin to talk about “Patient 307,” whereby we discover that Dr. The next scene depicts the Doctor sitting alone in a room, looking distraught. Bernardi, more commonly referred to in the episode simply as "Doctor." They proceed to have a conversation about Miss Tyler’s situation, in which the Doctor expresses that he is not sure how this final treatment will result, but, should it not have worked, "there are alternatives." Miss Tyler throws a fit and pleads that the Doctor remove the bandages from her face, whereby the hospital staff must hold her down to calm her. When we return to Miss Tyler’s room, we are now introduced to the body of Dr. Serling then walks into the picture and gives his opening narration. These two nurses go on to gossip about Miss Tyler, saying she is a poor thing for having such a face as she does. In the next scene we are dropped into a conversation between two nurses, as one informs the Doctor that patient 307 (Miss Tyler) is resting comfortably. He left behind his wife, Carolyn Kramer, and his two daughters, Jodi and Anne Serling, both of whom strive to keep his legacy alive.

Even television viewers who have never adamantly watched The Twilight Zone can usually identify certain images: a gremlin on the wing of a plane while William Shatner has a mental breakdown one Burgess Meredith shattering his reading glasses at the most inconvenient time or a small, angry child whisking his family away into a cornfield. Serling is well known for writing shocking twists into his television scripts. In 1926, his family moved to a town not far from Syracuse called Binghamton, where Serling was educated and graduated high school, shortly after which he joined the military.
He was born in Syracuse, New York on December 25th, 1924. As the show points out it isn’t right to separate others for being different, but you can‘t help place this one high on the shelf of meaningful stories.Serling is the writer and creator of the acclaimed science-fiction television series, The Twilight Zone, which aired from 1959-64.
